Software development for RTOS-UH with PE
========================================

Installation
------------
Unzip the downloaded archive.

Win9x/NT: Copy the programs pe.exe, pe_setup.exe, cvcp.exe and the 
          binary compiler files pd_ppc.vbi and pd_68k.vbi into the 
          desired directory. Run pe_setup.exe which creates the file 
          pe.cfg. This file must be located in the directory with 
          pe.exe or in the current working directory when pe is called.
          
Unix:     Copy the programs pe, pe_setup, cvcp and the binary compiler 
          files pd_ppc.vbi and pd_68k.vbi into the desired
          directories. Run pe_setup which creates the file pe.cfg.
          This file must be located in the directory with pe.exe 
          or in the current working directory when pe is called.

RTOS-UH:  Copy the S-Records PE and PE_SETUP into the desired
          directory. Run the command PE_SETUP (transient or 
          load PE_SETUP before) which creates the file PE.CFG. 
          This file must be located in the current working directory 
          or in /ED when PE is called (transient or after having 
          loaded PE).
          
Command line
------------
The command 'pe -h' displays the command line syntax and possible
parameters. Please refer to the documentation for more details 
and the use of environment variables. The documentation pedoc.pdf
is also included in the archives.

License
-------
PE and all of its componetns is released as FREEWARE. It may be 
freely distributed as long as all files remain unmodified and this 
readme file is included. This software may not be sold or be 
included in a product or package which intends to receive benefits 
through the inclusion of this software. 
The distributed PEARL-Cross-Compilers are demo versions and only 
for personal, non-commercial use.
